The Industrial Training Institute, Bandipora is located on the banks of world famous “Wular Lake” surrounded by the scenic Himalayan ranges. The Institute is about sixty kilometres away from Srinagar accessible from Baramulla as well. The institute was established in the year: 1979 and is one among the oldest Industrial Training Institutes of Kashmir valley. The institute is running several long term, short term courses in both part time and full time categories. The institute has been covered under Public Private Partnership Scheme which helps in the infrastructure development and offers several job oriented courses in addition to the courses run under normal scheme. The Institute is running courses like: 1, Stenography English, 2, Cutting and Sewing, 3, Mechanic Electronics, 4, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, 5, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, 6, Electrician and Draftsman Civil. The institute has NCC wing and is actively participating in the activities. The Institute library has rich collection of books and is equipped with daily newspapers and magazines. The Institute has recently opened a placement cell for placement of trainees.
